MHP Playout

In order to meet rising demands of the broadcast industry for high quality products to support interactive TV (iTV) applications, gcs developed a very compact MHP-based playout center based on the Open DVB Gateway ODG1000, gcs' flagship product of IP/DVB encapsulators and decapsulators, branded ODG1000MHP.

The ODG1000MHP offers encapsulating of IP data, video/audio multiplexing and forwarding capabilities. The ODG MHP playout software provides the complete tool chain for the generation and the playout of MHP carousels, including the carousel generation, service information (SI) management and actual playout of the carousels.

Any off-the-shelf MHP-compliant (certified by the MHP logo) Set-Top-Box is able to recognize, download and run the application generated by the ODG1000MHP.

The ODG1000MHP supports iTV applications in any DVB-S compliant satellite or DVB-C compliant cable network.
