Transmission

The ODG product family is a flexible and reliable modulator solution for DTH Broadcast applications.

It provides ASI input and Ethernet Input for TS over RTP or UDP. Our modulators are able to process and multiplex ASI and multiple UDP/RTP transport streams in parallel. Hence, there is no need for hardware changes or software upgrades in case of a change from ASI to Ethernet-based TS Interfaces. Furthermore, due to the integrated multiplexing capabilities, it can also replace a dedicated TS multiplexer in certain setups.

Reliability and quality is essential for DTH broadcasters. Our ODG products contains a high quality RF subsystem for high stability and excellent phase noise. A second dedicated RF output allows to monitor the modulated signal during operation.

Potential-free alarm contacts and RF mute inputs support multiple redundancy scenarios. For the Ethernet Data interface, we support layer 2 and layer 3 redundancy schemes like STP or VRRP, depending on the target scenario.

Monitoring

gcs provides also solutions in the field of DTH broadcast monitoring. Out QMS - Quality Monitoring System for example is able to periodically or continuously monitor a set of DVB carriers, to analyze RF parameters, the transmitted data streams and PSI/SI information as well as to check the streams for ETSI TR 101 290 violations.
