In Hotel TV, Company TV and Digital Signage applications, often existing audio and video streams must be combined with new ones or interactive services. Especially in these environments, system costs, required space and power consumption are crucial.

With the HTV120 gcs offers an ideal product for these scenarios. It allows to playout audio and video streams from the local storage, broadcast interactive HbbTV applications and forward multiple audio and video streams delivered via TS over RTP/UDP. All of these tasks can of course be performed in parallel.

The HTV120 comes with an ASI and RTP/UDP output but is also available with integrated DVB-S/S2, DVB-T or DVB-C modulators.

Even with the integrated modulator, it requires only one 19Ó rack unit and has a total power consumption of less than 50 Watt.

The DVB-T modulator option for example allows to use TV sets with an integrated DVB-T receiver (which are widely available) in many application scenarios which are usually less expensive than DVB-C, DVB-S or IPTV systems. The distribution of DVB-T via a closed coaxial cable-based in-house network avoids the need for a DVB-T transmission license.

Interactive Hotel portal pages with guest and room-specific information like room information, hotel bill, language-localized weather forecast and event information can be realized via a DVB-C/T based HbbTV solution over a single coax cable, without the need of a return link. New, expensive and time-consuming wiring can thus be avoided in many cases.
